This trip is designed for scuba divers, snorkelers and their loved ones, and will take us to one of the world's most biologically intense destinations. Our goal: to come face to face with huge Manta Rays (15ft or 5m across), as well as Bull Sharks and Reef Sharks. We will be staying in a boutique hotel a short stroll from the beach and dive shop in the stunning Potrero area, just a 90-minute drive from the airport. Better yet, most of our dive sites are a 15-minute boat ride from shore!
Package includes: 7N boutique resort, 5 days of diving (4 days Las Catalinas, 1 day Bat Islands), all gear and tanks, guides, boat, breakfast, lunch, dinner and airport transfers. There are also many extras: try our 4k cameras, documentary workshops, Yoga classes, and access to the beachfront sailing club and bar. We will be diving from a very comfy 'mothership' with an international crew. Please note this package does not include airfare, insurance, alcohol.
Guests will have the opportunity to try out cameras if they choose, both above and below the water (first come, first served!). We can teach you the ropes, talk shop or get into the finer points of shooting during a private workshop. Drones and GoPros will also be available to try, which are incredibly fun and easy to use. Definitely bring your own cameras!
Most days will have 2 dives planned in the morning at nearby Las Catalinas Islands, with snorkelers welcome on the boat. The diving here is bigtime Pacific adrenaline, focussed on encounters with huge animals and schools of fish. The diving is best suited to divers with experience, as currents and visibility can change dramatically (although many beginners have learned here as well). The nutrients in the water attract a tremendous diversity of wildlife at Las Catalinas. Whale sharks and even a humpback whale have been seen at these sites!

Our trip to Bat Islands, further out about two hours by boat, will take place on Day 4, and is where the bull sharks are common. Most days, you will have your afternoons free, for daytrips such as to see volcanos, surfing spots, with nightlife, restaurants and shopping just a short walk away (not included!).
Get Your Scuba Licence!
Not yet a certified diver? No problem. You will start as a beginner and end as a certified diver with at least 10 open water dives to your name! Not only that, but you'll get to see wildlife that even seasoned divers are still waiting to see! Ask us about the scuba courses available for this trip (course fees are extra). As mentioned, the diving can be intense, but we can prepare you!
Dive Trip Itinerary*
Day 1: Meet and Greet at the airport, transfer to hotel (1hr 20min drive), welcome dinner.
Day 2: Dive team meet and briefing: intro Las Catalinas Islands. Open water dives 1&2 for beginners. Manta Point dive site.
Day 3: Two-Three dives in the Las Catalinas area. Shark Garden site.
Day 4: Two-Three dives in the Las Catalinas area. Dirty Rock & Manta Point sites.
Day 5: Two dives at Bat Islands. Bull sharks focus.
Day 6: Two dives in Las Catalinas: "El Clasico" dive site.
Day 7: Off-gas day. Enjoy the pool, beaches, check out local sites, etc.
Day 8: Farewells and airport transfers.
The package includes:
Return airport transfer, 7 nights accommodation all meals, lunch on diving days, all fees and transfers, 10+ dives with guide, gear, tanks and weights.
Does not include International airfare, domestic flights, insurance, or alcohol.
